Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

Registration
The exam schedule is available online and students are encouraged to review it. It is important to note that the final schedule of exams can change at any moment. Students should therefore check with their instructors for the correct time and date of their exam. Students should also print out the official list to take with them to the exam.
In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and terms and conditions. They are available on the website for each exam. After registering, students acknowledge that they have read and agree to these conditions and terms.
Exam sites try their best to accommodate students with special needs. The nature and severity of these requirements should be stated on the registration form and verified by a doctor's attestation. The exam locations must also respect and maintain confidentiality.
If a student has three examinations scheduled for the same day it is suggested that they contact their instructor or department to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to have three exams on the same day. However, this can lead to a high level of stress and impact the quality of the exam. Before taking the test, students must prepare by studying the course material and practice their German skills. The test is a test on paper that tests the ability to read, speak and write in German. The results of the examination are reported using a scale from A1 to C2. Students who succeed in passing the test are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has reached language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competency that is outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free of cost. Students must bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Anyone who does not have an ID with a valid photo are disqualified from the examination.
Fees

You will have to pay an exam fee if you wish to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the course fee.
Practice assessments allow you to get a feel for the style of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you assess your knowledge, identify gaps and increase your chances of acing the test.
Please take note that the fee for exams is not refundable. Examination results can only be received by email and not by phone.
